Set Apart

In the world, not of this world

Set apart like whoa!

Obedience on point

Called to be uniquely who God made me to be

Not a part of any one community

But to love ALL whole heartedly

Understanding from a place where my heart once yearned to be

Now free with God dwelling in me- mind, body, and soul

I will never hand control over to the thoughts inside my head again

The ones that wanted me dead

Again, I say I will never hand control over to the thoughts inside my head

The ones that wanted me dead

That tried to cause me harm

Had me leaving countless marks upon my arms

Those thoughts were not from God my father who loves the whole of me

Who never wants to see a scratch or even a scrape on my knee

He wants to protect me from all harm

But he gave me free will that I took and ran with and oh it worked like a charm!

Not of the world, but in it

As in, no I will not follow you into the wilderness

But I will love you through it

As in, I will do my best to walk in righteousness as I walk beside ALL my brothers and sisters in the world

In the world, not of the world

Set apart like whoa!

Obedience on point

Meaning when God says jump I say how high and do it on the spot

Because I’m not going to delay my blessing any longer

I’m not going to walk in the opposite direction of my purpose anymore

I’m going to praise

Hands up to the sky

Meet me where I am Lord prayers

Blessings flow down kind of prayers

House anointed with oil at 2AM when I can’t sleep kind of prayers

Closing doors that need to be closed kind of prayers

Because the world is not invited to seep into my prayer closet but I will love and pray for the world FROM my prayer closet

Set apart

Different

Unique

Come out from among them daughter

God commands

I am called to be in the world, not of this world

Set apart
